Army buddies Bob Wallace and Phil Davis are sent to check out the talented sister act of Betty and Judy Haynes. What starts as a possible business partnership blossoms into something more as they travel to the sisters’ next job in a not-so-snowy Vermont and discover their former Army General is the owner of a failing inn. As the team musters to save their beloved General’s retirement dream, luck and possibly even a little love blossoms under the evergreen Douglas Firs.
Featuring Irving Berlin’s classic melodies including Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep, Sisters, and the masterpiece title number, this is a holiday classic you won’t want to miss.
“No question, this holiday chestnut — with a new book by David Ives and Paul Blake — remains unashamedly old-fashioned, aggressively nostalgic, and filled with postwar optimism.” – Stage and Cinema
“It’s a perfect way to ring in the holidays with a mix of sentimentality and tradition.” – Broadway World
